Biography
Welcome to Yes! Master. I've been involved in the creative arts as a performer, creator, technician and supporter for more than thirty years. My first engineering job came at the age of seventeen. In the '70's, I cut my teeth working in Chicago with some of the greatest acoustic acts in the world from Steve Goodman and Jethro Burns to banjo great Greg Cahill of The Special Consensus. Even though I've been involved with many types of music over the years, the fundamentals learned while working with acoustic music in those years have been of great benefit. A relationship with producing legend Charles Stepney-genius behind Earth, Wind & Fire and Minnie Ripperton, among others-brought great insight into and appreciation of arranging and fueled not only my love of horns, but my desire to get out and PLAY! So I did and I was living that dream. Eventually, being an engineer drew me in further and became my career. In addition to my work with musicians I spent many years as a dialogue editor, mastering engineer and Spoken Word audio producer for one of the world's largest audio publishing companies. The opportunity to work with such luminaries as Earl Nightingale, W. Clement Stone, Wayne Dyer and Brian Tracy was rewarding and enlightening. These days, I'm able to enjoy a return to my roots and work on the projects of some very fine acoustic musicians of different genres. It's been a long journey from "manual" flanging to flange plug-ins but that journey has been full of learning experiences that have forged the expertise and understanding that I can bring to your project. --
